Fr Michael McCaughey, CC studied for the Priesthood in St Patrick's College, Maynooth and was ordained in Sacred Heart Church, Omagh on 21 June 1987. After ordination Fr McCaughey worked in St Brigid's, Carnhill for one year. In 1988 he became Curate in Clonmany Parish, Co. Donegal where he remained until 1996. For three years (1996-1999) he served as curate in Claudy. He has been a Curate in Waterside Parish since 1999.

Fr Gerard Sweeney, CC was ordained to the priesthood on June 12th 1993. After ordination his first parish was Melmount from 1993 - 1995. This was followed by the Holy Family parish, ballymagroarty from 1995 - 1997.
From 1997 to 2006 Fr Sweeney served as curate at St Patricks Pennyburn. From 2006 - 2009 he served as curate at Kellyclougher.
Fr Gerard began as curate at the waterside parish in September 2009
