Three busloads of parishioners left for the papal mass in Phoenix park on the final day of the Pope’s visit on Sunday 26th August. We had an early wet start with two buses leaving just before 6:30am from spencer road and one leaving at 6:30am from the Everglades Hotel car park.
After a stopover at Monaghan with breakfast at the Day Break service station we arrived in the Dublin port area around 10:50am. We joined the large queues for the shuttle buses and enjoyed the banter with those around us whilst we waited to get ferried to the environs of the Phoenix Park where we joined the other thousands of pilgrims streaming in from all directions to get to their designated areas
