ON 25TH AUGUST 2019 100 mile (approx.) Lap of Lough Neagh sponsored cycle in aid of GOOD SHEPHERD SISTERS SOCIAL CENTER IN JDEIDEN, BEIRUT and NORTHERN IRELAND CHILDREN’S HOSPICE.

Good Shepherd Social Center in Jdeiden,Beirut-following the Lebanese civil war and regional conflicts many children and young people find themselves as part of families without income and schools. The Good Shepherd Center opened in 1998 to support children to do their homework in a welcoming and friendly place. They also help these traumatised children to live together and learn to respect each other. It also tries to protect them from engagement in anti-social behaviour or involvement in gangs or armed groups.

Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice is a local charity providing specialist res-pite, symptom management and end of life palliative care to over 300 infants, children and young people living with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses both in the family home and in the Children’s Hospice in Newtownabbey.
